DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo

Minnesota Twins vs James Shields

The Minnesota Twins are worth consideration in tournaments tonight against the Chicago White Sox and James Shields. Shields has a horrendous 1.644 WHIP and 2.037 home runs allowed per nine innings pitched. The Twins have quite a few powerful hitters, making this a very high-upside stack. Shields allows the second most home runs per nine innings of all the pitchers taking the mound tonight, and the White Sox bullpen is not all that effective.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

Carlos Carrasco vs DET ($51)

Carlos Carrasco has a great SO/9 at 9.631, and despite the Detroit Tigers powerful offense, he should be able to keep the run production to a minimum. Carrasco's price tag is reasonable, and he will fit into most lineups on Yahoo. His K-rate is the third best of any pitcher taking the mound tonight. Michael Pineda has the highest SO/9, but that will start to sink as the season progresses. Carrasco is truly an elite-level strikeout pitcher. Roster him in all leagues.

Drew Pomeranz vs TB ($39)

Drew Pomeranz is a great option in tournaments tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays may not strikeout frequently, but they also fail to score all that often. Pomeranz has a 9.809 SO/9. He also has a solid 1.201 WHIP. His price tag is very reasonable, which will make rostering the more expensive fantasy stacks, like the Boston Red Sox or Cleveland Indians, much easier.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C) - Austin Barnes vs ARI ($7)

Austin Barnes is actually cheaper tonight than he was last night. He hit a home run in his last game, and he will look to repeat that performance against Taijuan Walker. He is hitting toward the end of the lineup, but his 0.06 ISO differential more than makes up for that.

First Base (1B) - Hanley Ramirez vs TB ($20)

Hanley Ramirez is just too cheap. He has horrible ISO and wOBA differentials, and he does not have good splits against the right-handed Alex Cobb. Regardless, he is going to hit fourth in a very powerful offense, and a home run is always one swing away. Roster him in tournaments.

Second Base (2B) - Daniel Murphy vs PHI ($23)

Daniel Murphy is a great option in all leagues tonight against the Philadelphia Phillies and Jerad Eickhoff. He has a solid 0.054 ISO differential and great splits, as he hits from the left side of the plate. He his price tag is very reasonable.

Shortstop (SS) - Corey Seager vs ARI ($19)

Corey Seager is expected to hit second for the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight against right-handed Taijuan Walker. He is a left-handed batter, and he is the best shortstop option on the board tonight across the industry. Roster him in all leagues.

Third Base (3B) - Jose Ramirez vs DET ($16)

Jose Ramirez hits from both sides of the plate, so his matchup against Matt Boyd is great due to Boyd's inability to pitch effectively. Ramirez hit two home runs in his last game, and he has the potential to do that on any given night. Roster him in all leagues, as his price tag is low on Yahoo.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

Joc Pederson vs ARI ($16)

Joc Pederson is a great option tonight against the right-handed Taijuan Walker. He has a ton of power and a great 0.197 ISO differential. He is a serious home run candidate tonight. His price tag is a little bit high, so roster him in tournaments.

Matthew Joyce vs HOU ($7)

Matthew Joyce is worth consideration in both 50/50 contests and tournaments tonight. He gets a good matchup against Charlie Morton. Morton has a high SO/9, but Joyce has great splits, hitting from the left side of the plate. His ISO differential is 0.075.
