Yahoo MLB DFS Advice (4/13/17): Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks

Yahoo DFS advice and daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 4/13/17 by Justin Klein. MLB DFS player recommendations for your Yahoo daily tournaments and GPPs.

Happy Wednesday night! Heck, maybe you're reading this Thursday morning. In any case there are 4 afternoon games and 7 evening games on Thursday. That's a total of 11 games on the slate for Thursday, and I'm going to focus on all of them.  Yahoo has some great value options to choose from for DFS games so let's get down to business (because, as usual, it's business time).

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 4/13/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

You can read our FanDuel and DraftKings DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @justinrklein.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo

Chicago Cubs against LHP Hyun-jin Ryu at Wrigley Field in (Sweet Home) Chicago. Ryu is going to be lit up like a Christmas tree on December 25th. I want all of the southpaw smashers in this one and I might even mix in some stacks with Brett Anderson in GPP's.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

Yu Darvish at LAA ($51)

I want one of the stud aces in my lineup and because they're both so expensive I'll settle for the cheaper Darvish instead of Mad Bum. I loved Yu coming into the season and that will only intensify when he absolutely dominates the Angels on Thursday. A solid favorite over Ricky Nolasco and the Angels, I expect Darvish to rack up the K's alongside elite ratios and a win. That said,I have no qualms about anyone starting Mad Bum at home instead.

Josh Tomlin vs CHW ($32)

Tomlin is a solid play on Thursday as he's a huge favorite at home against a weak pitcher and team in Miguel Gonzalez and the White Sox. Although there is certainly risk here Tomlin will likely provide solid ratios and a healthy amount of K's in a win. At just $32 it's hard to pass on this big of a favorite at home.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C) - Wilson Contreras vs LA ($15)

Thus far in his young career Contreras has triple slashed a healthy .325/.365/.513 against LHP. On Thursday he'll face the left handed Hyun-jin Ryu at Wrigley Field. In his career at Wrigley Wilson has a staggering .255 ISO.

First Base (1B) -  Eric Hosmer vs MIL ($13)

Hosmer started the season slowly, but he's shown signs of life recently as he jacked one out the other day. On Thursday he could be in for a big game and I want to have him in my lineups when he breaks out. In his career against RHP Hosmer has posted a healthy triple slash of .284/.347/.455. On Thursday Hosmer and the Royals will face Jesse Hahn and the Athletics. In his career Hahn has allowed LHP a slugging percentage of .436. At just $13 I can save some coin and roster a good play while staying under the radar.

Second Base (2B) - Scooter Gennett vs MIL ($11)

This is a perfect storm for Scooter as he's started the season on fire with an impressive 7.9 FPPG. On Thursday he'll face RHP Jimmy Nelson and his former team the Brewers at his new home in Cincinnati at the Great American Ballpark. Not only is the revenge factor in play, but the ballpark is extremely hitter friendly. In his career Scooter has been good against northpaws as he's mashed them to the tune of a .293/.330/.439 triple slash. At just $11 Gennett is probably my favorite value play on the entire slate. As a Brewers fan I'll still be cheering for him.

Shortstop (SS) -  Addison Russell vs CHW ($16)

In his career against LHP Russell has an ISO of .198 and in his career against LHP at Wrigley Field that number goes up to .214. When I said I wanted all of the southpaw smashers I meant it. Join me and get the sneaky good Russell vs Ryu matchup into your lineups too.

Third Base (3B) - Kris Bryant - vs LAD ($24)

In his career so far Kris has an ISO of .275 against LHP and at home at Wrigley Field he's posted an ISO of .279. I'd give you the triple slashes, but they're worth looking up for yourself. Trust me. When you factor in that the opposing pitcher isn't very good this matchup gets even better. This is a lay up folks and it's important not to miss the easiest shots.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

Alex Gordon vs OAK ($9) - As I mentioned earlier Gordon and the Royals will host Jesse Hahn and the A's on Thursday. Not only does Hahn struggle against lefties, but Gordon has been good against RHP, as he's slugged .436 against them in his career. At home that number goes up to .437. When you add in that he'll likely be leading off and that he's just $9 we have a superb value on our hands.

Scott Van Slyke at CHI ($7) - I was going to suggest  lefty-killer Franklin Gutierrez but he just hit the DL with a hamstring issue so SVS will have to take his place. Gutierrez's injury all but assures that Van Slyke will be in the lineup on Thursday, and since the boys in blue are facing a lefty he'll probably slide into a prominent lineup slot. That's because Scott has posted an ISO of .213 against southpaws in his career. At just $7 he's a great value and my second favorite play behind my boy Scooter.
