Yahoo Lineup Picks (Week 13) - NFL DFS Advice

Hey there RotoBallers! In this article, I will be taking a look at some of my favorite Yahoo DFS lineups picks for the Week 13 slate.

These DFS picks are based on a multitude of factors including matchup, talent, recent performance, Vegas odds, and pricing on Yahoo.

Generally, I will try to outline a top option at each position along with a value option with a chance to at least hit value. Let's get to it!

Quarterback Picks for Yahoo DFS

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks vs. Philadelphia Eagles, $35

Wilson has been one of the hottest quarterbacks in the NFL this season and will find himself in a high-scoring shootout against Carson Wentz, who has been equally as impressive. This Eagles-Seahawks clash has a nice, high 47-point over/under with Seattle installed as a home underdog. If this game goes to script, the Seahawks will have to pass continually to keep up with an explosive Eagles offense. While the Philadelphia defense has been one of the better units in the league both against the run and the pass, that doesn't concern me against Wilson, who has been matchup-proof this season. Philadelphia is allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, but they have also enjoyed a soft quarterback schedule of late, facing C.J. Beathard, Brock Osweiler, Dak Prescott (minus Zeke Elliott-edition), and Mitchell Trubisky since Week 8. That lineup of favorable passing matchups has helped bring down their fantasy points against statistic. Wilson sets up as a solid GPP play if you want to spend up at quarterback as many daily leaguers will shy away due to the matchup.

Brett Hundley, Green Bay Packers vs. TB, $21

Hundley is coming off the best performance of his young career, having surprised a stout Steelers pass defense with three touchdowns last Sunday evening. Look for him to keep it up in Week 13 against a Tampa Bay pass defense that is allowing the most passing yards per game in the league this season. The young signal caller has also provided solid rushing production this season, which raises his weekly point floor. Hundley is a fantastic value at just $1 over the quarterback minimum on Yahoo and should be a staple in cash lineups this weekend.

Running Back Picks for Yahoo DFS

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints vs. CAR, $29

Kamara continues to show up as a recommended play in this space, partially due to his transcendent play on the field and partially due to Yahoo's reluctance to price him appropriately despite to his weekly RB1 upside. After he dusted the Rams for two touchdowns and 33.80 Yahoo points in Week 12, they raised his price just $1. Until he begins seeing his price tag up in the high 30s and low 40s he will remain an elite play on Yahoo. The Panthers have been stout against the run this season but Kamara's ability to rack up points on the ground and the air keeps his ceiling high. This is an important game which could possibly decide the NFC South division championship, so expect the Saints to lean heavily on Kamara, who is clearly one of their best offensive players.

Jamaal Williams, Green Bay Packers @ TB, $13

Williams' price is too good to pass on, especially after he's coming off a fantastic game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. The rookie running back racked up 135 total yards along with two scores in a surprising Week 12 performance out of the Packers offense. The only thing to be wary of here is the possibility that fellow running back Aaron Jones may be back in action this weekend. He returned to practice in a limited fashion on Wednesday, which would put a significant dent in Williams' outlook. If Jones does return Williams can't be used, but you can always pivot to Joe Mixon ($14), Kenyan Drake ($14) or Devontae Booker ($13) so you don't have to reconfigure your entire lineup.

Wide Receiver Picks for Yahoo DFS

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ GB, $30

Fantasy owners have been waiting all season for a classic Mike Evans game where he pops off for over 100 yards and multiple touchdowns. A stretch of tough matchups, a one-game suspension, and the Jameis Winston shoulder injury have all combined to prevent Evans from reaching his ceiling this season. Well, wait no longer as this is the week Evans goes off. The Packers have been awful against the pass this season, allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers. If that isn't enough to convince you to plug Evans into those lineups, Football Outsiders has Green Bay's secondary ranked 30th in the league in DVOA against the opposition's WR1. With Jameis Winston expected to return to the field, Evans has top overall scoring WR in his range of outcomes yet checks in at a very reasonable $30 on Yahoo.

Seth Roberts, Oakland Raiders vs. NYG, $10

Roberts sets up as an excellent salary relief option in Week 13. The 26-year-old receiver is expected to see a large workload in Week 13 with Michael Crabtree suspended and Amari Cooper unexpected to play after sustaining a concussion and an ankle injury in Week 12. Look for Roberts to step in as a primary option in the Oakland passing game in what sets up as a prime matchup against a Giants defense that just placed their best cornerback, Janoris Jenkins, on season-ending injured reserve. Look for Roberts to soak up targets in Week 13.

Tight End Picks for Yahoo DFS

Delanie Walker, Tennessee Titans vs. HOU, $21

Walker draws a fantastic Week 13 matchup against a Texans defense that is coughing up the sixth-most fantasy points per game to enemy tight ends this season. Since Week 8, the Texans have allowed two tight ends to post a two-touchdown game. Jimmy Graham achieved the feat in Week 8 (not surprising) and Ricky Seals-Jones matched him in Week 11 (somewhat more surprising). Walker has been one of the few bright spots in a Tennessee pass offense that has been disappointing in 2017 and should continue to serve as one of Marcus Mariota's favorite targets in Week 13. Walker's workload is about as safe as it can get for a tight end as he's seen eight or more targets in four of his past six games.

Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts @ JAX, $18

The Colts draw a brutal Week 13 matchup against a Jacksonville defense that is the second-ranked unit in the league according to Football Outsiders' DVOA. Jacksonville boasts two star cornerbacks in Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye, which has allowed them to shut down outside receivers all season. If the Colts want to move the ball through the air, they are going to have to rely on Doyle in the middle of the field. Doyle has been quarterback Jacoby Brissett's favorite target this season, tying with T.Y. Hilton for the team lead with 77 targets according to NFL Savant.

Defense/Special Teams Pick for Yahoo DFS

Tennessee Titans vs. HOU, $11

To be clear, the top defensive play on the slate is the Los Angeles Chargers in a home matchup against the turnover-prone DeShone Kizer. That being said, Yahoo recognizes this and has made the Los Angeles defense the most expensive option on the slate at $22. They are a fine play if you can fit them, but it might be tough to build a reasonable lineup around them. Instead, consider the Titans in a home matchup against the Tom Savage-led Houston Texans. The Texans are seven-point underdogs and have a 17.75-point implied point total, third-lowest on the slate.
