Xavier Edwards is a top fantasy baseball waiver wire pickup for Week 19 (2024). Fantasy baseball managers should add Xavier Edwards as a waiver wire free agent in all leagues.
BALLER MOVE: Add in All Formats
ROSTERED IN: 34% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Xavier Edwards has wasted no time establishing himself as the new leadoff hitter for Miami now that Jazz Chisholm is wearing Yankee pinstripes.
Edwards hit for the cycle on Sunday and scored both of Miami's runs as he went 4-4 at the plate and raised his average to .349 on the season. The switch-hitting infielder has now scored 14 runs in his first 24 games in Miami and has stolen eight bases.

You won't get much power out of Edwards, but he should continue to hit for average and be active on the basepaths. While Miami's lineup is a weak one, Edwards is in a good position to continue to score a bunch of runs as their leadoff hitter.
He could slow down at some point, but right now Edwards is consistently making contact and getting on base. He's a popular add this week and I'd grab him in just about any format if you need help with production from the middle infield positions.
