Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has been terrific this season, ranking as the overall QB10 in fantasy football. While he has a long track record of success in the NFL and has proven that this season's results are no joke, managers should temper expectations with the veteran signal caller this week.
First of all, he will be without Puka Nacua (ankle), who is the heart and soul of Los Angeles' receiving corps. That will leave Davante Adams as the de facto No. 1 receiver. While Adams is dominant, too, he hasn't flashed the strongest rapport with Stafford, which could be an issue now that he's in a bigger role. Furthermore, Stafford will be tasked with overcoming the challenges of international travel; he arrives in London on Saturday and will take on the Jaguars just one day later.
Both of these factors reduce Stafford's fantasy value, but he still cracks the top 12. It helps that Jacksonville has allowed the fifth-most passing yards to quarterbacks this season, as well as the 11th-most fantasy points to the position. Stafford is a low-end QB1 for this week.
Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. has been solid ever since seizing control of the Jacksonville backfield at the beginning of the season. He hit double digits in half-PPR fantasy points each of the first four weeks, amassing three touchdowns in the process, but has sputtered a bit the last two weeks.
To be fair, he faced two good run defenses in the Chiefs and the Seahawks, games where the passing game was more at the forefront. The Rams have been good on defense overall, but aren't impenetrable, so it will be interesting to see how the gameplan unfolds for Liam Coen.
Either way, Etienne Jr. should continue to dominate touches out of the backfield, making him a safe RB2 in Week 7 in the early London game.
Jordan Whittington, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington has occupied a depth role for most of this season, but he could leap onto the fantasy radar as a solid streamer in the WR3/flex range this week. Previously, Whittington has split No. 3 receiver duties with Tutu Atwell. However, Puka Nacua (ankle) has been ruled out, which could put Whittington in line to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Whereas Atwell is more of a deep threat whose skill set aligns with a certain group of play calls, Whittington can be an every-down receiver. He played 92 percent of the snaps last week, and while his final stat line was underwhelming (four targets, three catches, 23 yards), he should be able to post better results in Week 7 with a full week of practice as the No. 2 receiver under his belt. Davante Adams will be Stafford's primary focus in the passing game, but we wouldn't be surprised if Whittington is next in the pecking order.
He's facing a Jaguars defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025. Therefore, he's a solid low-end WR3/flex in deeper leagues.
Tyler Higbee, TE, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee has re-emerged as a potential fantasy option heading into Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Higbee is coming off a solid showing in which he caught four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown.
Furthermore, the Rams will be without Puka Nacua (ankle) on Sunday, which will put Higbee and Jordan Whittington in line to operate as Matthew Stafford's second-favorite targets behind Davante Adams. Higbee's snap share will likely remain around 60 percent, but we wouldn't be surprised to see him handle at least five targets, giving him a chance to make an impact in fantasy football.
He's not a long-term solution in your lineups, but with Nacua sidelined this weekend, Higbee can be a decent streamer. For what it's worth, the Jaguars have allowed the 11th-most receiving yards to tight ends in 2025.
Tutu Atwell, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Tutu Atwell (hamstring) was officially cleared to play in Sunday's London game in Week 7 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. Atwell did not play in the team's Week 6 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, but he's good to go for this weekend after practicing in full on both Thursday and Friday.
Top receiver Puka Nacua (ankle) has been ruled out, so both Atwell and Jordan Whittington should have elevated roles in the passing attack overseas behind Davante Adams. Still, fantasy managers in deeper leagues shouldn't consider the 26-year-old pass-catcher to be much more than a dart-throw WR4/flex in Week 7, as he's been used sparingly in the offense so far this year.
He'll probably be a boom/bust deep threat for the Rams with Nacua out. In five games this year, Atwell has averaged a nice 41 yards per catch but has caught only four of nine targets for 164 yards and one touchdown.
