Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 14:
Kenneth Walker, RB, Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (glute) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice as they prepare to face the Atlanta Falcons. Walker has been on the injury report for the past few weeks with a "glute" injury, but it hasn't affected his game status or role in the Seahawks' offense.
Walker has totaled 180 touches for 908 yards in 12 games, but has only added four touchdowns this season, which has generated the majority of the headlines in this backfield. Walker and third-year back Zach Charbonnet have been an RB by committee this season, and while Walker has been far more efficient this season, Charbonnet has scored eight touches. Thursday and Friday's practice reports will be key, but Walker will continue to fight through injury and be the lead back for this Seahawks run game.
Rome Odunze, WR, Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze (foot) was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice session, according to the team's official website. Odunze last appeared on the injury report in Week 11 with an ankle injury, and it's been common for the second-year wideout to miss practice on Wednesdays this season as the team manages his workload. The 23-year-old hasn't missed a game this season, though, and he will likely be good to go for Sunday against the Packers, barring something unforeseen.
Odunze's production has fallen off in recent weeks, as he's recorded three receptions or fewer in six of his last eight games with only one touchdown during that time. He projects as more of a WR3 for Week 14 against a tough Green Bay Packers defense, assuming he can suit up.
Terry McLaurin, WR, Commanders
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin has played in only five games this season due to a quad injury, but he had an outstanding game in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos. Even on limited snaps, McLaurin recorded seven receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown on a team-leading 14 targets in Washington's overtime loss.
The Commanders' top wideout last played in Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs, where he also played limited snaps but made his presence known with three catches (four targets) for 54 yards and a touchdown. McLaurin has had an unfortunate season plagued by injuries, but he will look to close out the season on a high note. He also could be getting second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) back next week against the Minnesota Vikings.
D'Andre Swift, RB, Bears
The Chicago Bears' rushing attack was unstoppable in their Week 13 win over the hosting Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday. Running back D'Andre Swift carried the ball 18 times for 125 rushing yards and scored on the ground in the 24-15 victory, adding one catch on his two targets for a gain of 13 yards. The crazy part is that the 26-year-old wasn't even Chicago's leading rusher on the day, as rookie Kyle Monangai led the team with 22 carries for 130 yards and also scored on the ground.
Although Swift's fantasy managers can't be all that pleased that Monangai out-touched Swift, it was still nice to see Swift score his first touchdown on the ground since Week 8. Swift was Chicago's clear lead back for most of the season, but Monangai's emergence now gives the Bears the option to ride the hot hand as they get ready for a crucial divisional contest in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers.
Alec Pierce, WR, Colts
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce has become a vital contributor to the Colts' offense over the last few weeks. While the Colts have lost three of their last four games, they've been in tough, hard-fought matchups against the Texans, Chiefs, Steelers, and Falcons. In those four competitive games, Pierce has totaled 27 targets and hauled in 15 catches for a total of 303 yards and two touchdowns.
He had a season-high 115 yards against the Steelers in that stretch and has produced at least 65+ yards in seven of his last nine contests. As the Colts look to push for a playoff spot in the next few weeks, Pierce should continue to be heavily involved, and he brings a very high ceiling since he has emerged as the team's primary deep threat, posting an ADOT of 19.8 yards, which is the highest of any receiver in the NFL with more than 35 targets.
