Jordan Lawlar Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
On June 27, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reported that the top prospect in the system was diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain. As a result, he is expected to remain sidelined for at least the next few weeks. He was also placed on the Triple-A injured list.

Out “weeks.”

Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, but it seems Lawlar's potential return to the major leagues will be delayed by at least a month.
Jordan Lawlar Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
While this injury has lowered Lawlar's short-term fantasy outlook, his production at Triple-A should not be dismissed. Through 53 games with the Reno Aces this season, the infielder has posted a stellar .319/.410/.583 slash line with 19 doubles, 10 home runs, and 18 stolen bases. While he has yet to tally an extra-base hit in the major leagues, given his elite production in the minor leagues, he should be posted to take the next step in his next stint.
However, given his injury, fantasy managers should only consider stashing Lawlar in NL-only redraft leagues. This injury could linger for an extended period, potentially preventing him from returning to the majors this season.
The talent/upside with Jordan Lawlar is still quite high, but durability is a notable concern. https://t.co/kcpKtrzX13
