Week 16 Running Back Outlooks for Fantasy Football

James Conner, Arizona Cardinals - Fantasy Football Outlook

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner is a must-start RB1 in Week 16 when the Cardinals face the Carolina Panthers on the road. Conner will look to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards for a second straight season, entering this game with 973 yards. He has been a workhorse all year, posting ten games with 20 or more touches. The Cardinals have no margin for error if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive, and the offense has relied on Conner to carry the load. Since signing his contract extension, Conner has put together back-to-back games with 90 or more rushing yards. The vibes are high with Conner and the Cardinals' rushing attack, and fantasy managers should trust him in this matchup.

- Cody Pestino, RotoBaller

Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans - Fantasy Football Outlook

According to Jim Wyatt of the Titans, running back Tony Pollard (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Pollard was unable to participate in practice all week, but the team is leaving the door open for him. However, fantasy managers should begin to find an alternative option as he will likely face an uphill battle to suit up. Pollard has battled a lingering ankle injury over the past few weeks and was even forced out of last weekend's game due to it.

If Pollard is unable to suit up, Tyjae Spears will step into the lead role. If Pollard is eventually ruled out, Spears becomes a viable RB2 in all formats in a favorable matchup, as the Colts have allowed the sixth-most PPR points to opposing running backs this season.

- Andy Smith, RotoBaller

Breece Hall, New York Jets - Fantasy Football Outlook

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Hall missed practice to begin the week but is now ready to go for this weekend. He returned to the field last week but struggled as he rushed nine times for 30 yards in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Possibly, Hall was still dealing with the knee issue last week, so hopefully, he'll get more involved this weekend. Fantasy managers should consider Hall as an RB2 with the expectation that Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis will still get mixed in.

- Andy Webb, RotoBaller
