Should I Start Wan'Dale Robinson for Fantasy Football?
New York Giants wide receiver enjoyed a breakout season in 2024, catching 93 passes for 699 yards and three touchdowns. This was a significant jump from the 60 passes he caught the previous season. However, through the opening of the 2025 campaign, Robinson appears to be taking a significant step forward in his development.
Operating as the primary slot option for Russell Wilson, Robinson has caught 14 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown. In Week 1, Robinson caught six of his eight targets for a solid 55 yards. However, in Week 2, Robinson (and the entire Giants offense) lit up the scoresheet, as he caught six of his 10 targets for 142 yards and a touchdown.
Even though Robinson will always take the backseat to the top wideout without Malik Nabers, he appears to have carved out a prominent role as the No. 2 option, which could provide him with high-end Flex/WR3 upside going forward.
Through the first two games, Robinson has seen 25.0% of the team's targets, which is an excellent sign for his weekly projection.
This weekend, the Giants will have a much tougher matchup, facing the Kansas City Chiefs. While the Chiefs have allowed the eighth-most PPR points to opposing wideouts, much of this damage came in the opening week against the Chargers, as they shut down the Philadelphia passing attack last weekend.
While Robinson's ceiling will be capped in this matchup, managers should still view him as a strong WR3/FLEX in PPR formats, as he should see early double-digit targets in a game in which the Giants will likely be trailing.

Should I Start Troy Franklin for Fantasy Football?
While Bo Nix was able to lead the Broncos to the postseason as a rookie, his former Oregon teammate did not carve out a large role in the offense. In his debut campaign, the young wideout caught just 28 passes for 263 yards and two touchdowns. He saw more than five targets in one game and tallied at least 50 receiving yards in two.
However, Franklin has taken a significant step in his development through the early part of the campaign and is emerging as a key piece of this passing attack. While it appeared Franklin was viewed as the team's No. 3 WR as Marvin Mims Jr. saw more time with the starters during the preseason, Franklin has taken this job and run with it.
In Week 1, Franklin saw an impressive six targets and brought in four for 44 yards. In Week 2, the Oregon product enjoyed a career afternoon, catching eight of his nine (team-high in targets) for 809 yards and a touchdown.
Throughout this two-game stretch, Franklin has logged 70% of the team's total snaps, which is fewer than Courtland Sutton (86%) but significantly greater than Mims, who has seen only 44% of the snaps, which suggests the team views Franklin as their WR2.
As a result, Franklin projects to be a viable WR3 in Week 3 when the Broncos face the Chargers. Even though the Chargers have allowed the 11th-fewest PPR points to top-performing WRs this season, the Broncos will likely be pushed to rely on their passing game, as the Chargers have shut down opposing rushing attacks.
While Franklin is not a must-start, he is a strong play as a WR3/FLEX in deeper 12+ team formats this weekend.

Should I Start Quentin Johnston for Fantasy Football?
The third wide receiver we will look at in this piece is Quentin Johnston of the Los Angeles Chargers. Johnston has shown high fantasy production at times throughout his NFL career, but has really been a consistent option. As a rookie, Johnston caught 38 passes for 432 yards and two touchdowns. In Year 2, Johnston took a step forward but still struggled on a weekly basis.
During that season (2024), Johnston tallied 50 receiving yards in just three games and was held to under five catches in 10. Instead, much of his production occurred in a handful of games.
As a result, many managers did not have him on their fantasy radar heading into 2025. However, Johnston appears to have taken a step forward in this offense and is emerging as a reliable FLEX option.
In Week 1, Johnston caught five of his seven targets for 69 yards and two touchdowns. Then in Week 2, Johnston caught three of his seven targets for 71 yards and another touchdown. While most of his production came on his 60-yard TD reception, seeing Justin Herbert occasionally look his way downfield is an excellent sign for his ceiling.
Despite his impressive start to the season, managers may want to look for an alternate FLEX option in Week 3. This weekend, the Chargers will face the Denver Broncos, who have allowed the third-fewest PPR points to opposing wideouts. While Johnston could still find value if he can connect on a deep pass, he carries more risk this weekend.
As a result, managers should view him as a mid-tier WR3/FLEX with risk due to this difficult matchup.
