BALLER MOVE: Stash in Deeper Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: July
ANALYSIS: Milwaukee Brewers third base prospect Tyler Black made his major league debut on April 30 but was recently sent back down to Triple-A.
Through his first seven major league games, he posted a .227/.261/.318 slash line with two stolen bases and a 1:8 BB:K ratio. He totaled five hits, with two of them going for extra bases.
With an impressive .299/.377/. 504 line, six home runs, and six stolen bases in 32 games with Triple-A Nashville, the 23-year-old Tyler Black is proving his potential for a successful future in the major leagues.
Black has primarily played first base this season in the minor leagues but will have to look for a different route to the major leagues as Rhys Hoskins (hamstring) is expected to return to his everyday role at first base when he returns from the injured list. Black could force his way into a platoon role at the hot corner with Joey Ortiz or see time as the designated hitter.
Only three prospects had 15+ HR, 15+ SB, a 15+% BB rate, and a sub-20% K rate in 2023.

Nonetheless, Black has performed very well at Triple-A and should remain rostered in deeper leagues.
