ANALYSIS: The Chicago White Sox have been hit hard by the injury bug thus far in 2024, which prompted them to go out and sign veteran outfielder Tommy Pham. Pham was inserted into the White Sox lineup on April 26 and has seen solid production since then.
Across his first 12 games on the south side, Pham has posted a .313/.340/.500 slash line with two home runs and seven RBI. He has also performed particularly well against right-handed pitching as noted by his .372 OBP and .880 OPS against them. He has also collected hits in four of his previous five games, and given the White Sox's current needs, seems to be a likely starting candidate for the foreseeable future. Pham makes for a solid waiver wire claim heading into Week 8 for teams that need average and run-scoring production.
