Thomas Bryant is worth considering as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 12 of the 2022-23 NBA season.

ANALYSIS: You know the Los Angeles Lakers have been horrid when there's already talk out there about LeBron James potentially retiring as soon as next summer out of desperation. Seriously. With Anthony Davis injured and still out for a few more days/weeks and having missed most of December, it's been Thomas Bryant taking on the starting role at Center.
Bryant should have probably played more minutes earlier this season, but what can we do about that? Thank the basketball Gods at least he finally got a chance to break through even if only because another man went down injured.
The young center has started the last eight games played by the Lake Show entering 2023 and he's averaged 29 MPG. His stat lines in those games read an average of 14-10-1 with four games ending in double-double outings for TB, so he's split them evenly. In two of those four matches in which he failed to dub-dub, he still finished only two points or two boards shy of getting there, mind you.
Bryant is great because he knows how to stretch the floor and hit long-range bangers. Nothing mindblowing, but he's scored 10 total three-point shots in his last nine games for an average of 1.1 per game.
Since Thomas Bryant entered the starting lineup on Dec. 18, he has the sixth-most rebounds (76) and only Julius Randle (23) has more 3PM than Bryant (nine) since then.
