For the second week in a row, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell saw double-digit targets and found the end zone.

In Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Titans, Campbell was targeted 12 times, catching 10 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. After a rocky first three years to his NFL career that saw him repeatedly miss time because of injury, Campbell now has set career highs in receptions, yards, and touchdowns.

With the Colts announcing that Sam Ehlinger is now their starting quarterback, is Parris Campbell worth picking up off waivers?

What Did Parris Campbell Do In Week 7?

After Campbell's Week 6 showing, the fantasy world kind of universally assumed that this was a fluke. The Colts are notorious for having some random receiver have a good game and then fade away.

Then Campbell did it again this week. In the loss to the Titans, he led the team in targets with 12, catching 10 of them for 70 yards and the only receiving touchdown in the entire game—in fact, it was the only offensive touchdown that either team had.

Could The Quarterback Change Impact Parris Campbell?

With concerns about how far Matt Ryan could throw a football, Campbell was set to be the perfect player to roster in fantasy: a slot guy who would be a target hog in the short passing game.

The Colts put a slight wrench in that by announcing they were benching Matt Ryan.

You have to think that part of moving to Ehlinger is to try to add some juice to this offense, but Ehlinger has never attempted a pass in a regular-season NFL game, so it would also make sense that as he gets used to playing at this level, he'll rely on a safe option like Campbell in the short passing game. For that reason, I think Campbell is still going to be fine.

Should I Pickup Parris Campbell Off the Waiver Wire in Fantasy Football?

Campbell should be added in all 12-team PPR leagues. In standard scoring, he's a little too touchdown-dependent, but with him getting double-digit targets in back-to-back weeks, he's an ideal player for PPR.

It also helps that he's on the field a lot. Consistency at wide receiver has been an issue for the Colts before, but if they're just going to run Campbell with Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce all game, that's a welcome sign.

I won't say that I'm not worried here. Campbell has a three-year track record of not producing plus there's the QB change to account for, so while you should be adding him, it might be wise to see how this offense looks with Ehlinger before you start him.
