ANALYSIS: Dodgers rookie starting pitcher River Ryan pitched well enough in his Major League debut to earn at least one more turn in the rotation.
The 25-year-old right-hander was effective in five and one-third innings against the Giants, holding them scoreless while walking three hitters and striking out two.

Ryan isn't a top prospect, but pitched well in a limited sample at Triple-A this season (eight starts spanning 24 innings) with a 2.22 ERA and 32 strikeouts.
Ryan is just 10% rostered in Yahoo! leagues and is worth an add in deeper formats as he is pitching for one of the best teams in baseball and is backed by an elite offense and bullpen. He's not going to help much in the strikeout department, but he could help add some wins while also not hurting your ratios in the process.
