Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Tuesday, September 5, 2023. The 2023 MLB season is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play.

PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Tanner Bibee more than 6.5 strikeouts
Bibee has struck out at least seven batters just four times in his previous 12 starts, however, one of those starts was his most recent start at the Twins where he struck out eight batters across five innings of work. Tonight, he will be at home where he has a slightly better K/9 mark as well as a solid matchup against those same Twins. Over the previous three weeks, Minnesota have posted the third-highest K rate against right-handers with a rate of 27%.
Bryce Miller more than 5.5 strikeouts
Miller has eclipsed this total in four of his previous eight starts, which is not all that exciting, however, the matchup is enticing tonight against the Reds. Over the previous three weeks, the Reds have posted the fifth-highest K rate against right-handers with a rate of nearly 26%. They are also pairing this with a lackluster 79 wRC+ mark and a walk rate below 8%. It should also be noted that this prop is currently listed at +105 to the over on several books, so it might be worth waiting to see if we can get the number at 5.0 here.
Reid Detmers less than 6.0 strikeouts
Detmers has failed to eclipse this total in eight of his previous nine starts, and the matchup does not get any easier tonight against the Orioles. Over the previous three weeks, Baltimore has posted the ninth-best K rate vs. left-handers with a rate of just 20.9%. They are also posting a wRC+ mark of 119, which could certainly get Detmers into trouble early as he has allowed at least two earned runs in nine of his previous ten starts and at least four earned runs in three of his previous five starts.
Mookie Betts more than 8.5 hitter fantasy score
Betts has eclipsed this fantasy total in 10 of his previous 12 games. He will be up against left-hander, Jesus Luzardo, which is good news as Betts has posted a 1.158 OPS vs. lefties on the season. Luzardo has also allowed a .253 BAA with 18 home runs to right-handed hitters this season.
