Week 14 PPR Running Back Rankings for Fantasy Football: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Zack Moss, Jerick McKinnon, De'Von Achane

Updated Week 14 fantasy football running back rankings for PPR scoring. Set winning lineups with our Week 14 ranks for fantasy football and the 2023 NFL season.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to more fantasy football rankings. The weekend is here, and Week 14 only has two teams on the bye. The Commanders and Cardinals are the only teams off this week. Today, we will review our NFL team's PPR fantasy football running back rankings for Week 14 to help fantasy managers with those tough start/sit decisions.

There's a lot of injury news and notes to get, too. With Isiah Pacheco ruled out, Clyde Edwards-Helaire will draw the start for the Chiefs against the Bills. Zack Moss will look to rebound in Week 14 against the Bengals after rushing 19 times for 51 yards in last Sunday's 31-28 win over the Titans. Find out where Moss, Edwards-Helaire, and other vital backs such as Jerick McKinnon, Chuba Hubbard, Jerome Ford, and De'Von Achane rank this week.

Our PPR fantasy football running back rankings for Week 14 are assembled by Nick MarianoScott EngelAndersen Pickard, and Brandon Murchinson. In addition to our staff rankings, below you will find a summary of this week's important fantasy football injury news. There are always critical injuries to track, so check back until kickoff.

Week 14 Running Back Fantasy Football News and Injuries

Week 14 Running Back Rankings Analysis

A new feature has been added to our weekly fantasy football rankings article. Below, you will find our fantasy football outlooks for key running back options in Week 13, which gives readers a matchup preview of that player and advice on whether to start or avoid for the upcoming week. We provide outlooks for all 32 NFL teams, which can be found on our player profile pages and our fantasy football news desk.

Javonte Williams, RB, Denver Broncos
Week 14 Overall PPR Rankings: 35
Week 14 Running Back PPR Rankings: 16

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams has only had double-digit half-PPR showings in three games in 2023, but he'll have a good opportunity for a fourth in Week 14 against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers, especially if Samaje Perine (knee) is inactive while being a late addition to the injury report. Overall, it's mostly been a disappointing year for Williams, as he's averaging fewer than four yards a carry and hasn't scored a rushing TD all year.

However, he's going to see the majority of backfield touches for Denver again this Sunday and is going against a Chargers run defense that has been a top-10 matchup the last five weeks in terms of half-PPR points allowed to the position with 20.8. The Bolts allow 113.8 rushing yards per game, so Denver should be able to move the ball efficiently on the ground, perhaps leading to Williams' first rushing score of 2023. He has  high-end RB2 upside in Week 14.

Zack Moss, RB, Indianapolis Colts
Week 14 Overall PPR Rankings: 11
Week 14 Running Back PPR Rankings: 7

Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss carried the ball 19 times for 51 yards in the team's 31-28 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 13. Despite the lackluster fantasy performance, Moss saw every single one of the team's carries as fellow running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) was unavailable. With Taylor (thumb) ruled out of their Week 14 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals, Moss is in line for another big workload in a slightly more favorable matchup.

The Bengals have allowed the sixth most rushing yards per game this season with 133.9, and also have allowed the 15th most points to opposing fantasy running backs this season. With a decent matchup and a sizable workload, fantasy managers can look to include Moss as a solid RB2 option.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Week 14 Overall PPR Rankings: 93
Week 14 Running Back PPR Rankings: 34

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire should get a chance back in the spotlight for a Week 14 date with the Buffalo Bills. The 2020 first-round pick has mostly burnt out in 11 games this year, rushing 40 times for 140 yards (career-low 3.5 yards per carry) and a touchdown with seven catches for 44 yards. Edwards-Helaire is the favorite for early-down/base work, with featured back Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) ruled out for Sunday.

Scat back Jerick McKinnon should chip in on third downs and obvious passing situations, but it's Edwards-Helaire who is positioned for the most substantial gain in fantasy value. Buffalo's defense has surrendered the fourth-most targets (89), catches (68), and receiving yards (559) to the position, and they're dispensing the third-highest yards per carry (4.7). CEH is an immediate plug-and-play RB2 with upside in a matchup that carries the second-highest implied point total (49) of the slate.

Chuba Hubbard, RB, Carolina Panthers
Week 14 Overall PPR Rankings: 49
Week 14 Running Back PPR Rankings: 21

Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard is coming off a 104-yard, two-touchdown game in a Week 13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He will look to keep it going on the road against the New Orleans Saints in Week 14. The Saints have been tough on opposing running backs in 2023, as they allow just the 22nd-most fantasy points per game to the position so far.

Hubbard has the bellcow role locked down in Carolina, but the team's poor offense does cap his upside somewhat. Fantasy gamers should treat Hubbard as a low-end RB2 heading into Week 14's contests.

De'Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins
Week 14 Overall PPR Rankings: 13
Week 14 Running Back PPR Rankings: 4

Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane was firmly in the driver's seat of the backfield in Week 13 as he out-touched Raheem Mostert 20 to 12. Achane played a part in the passing game while receiving 17 carries, and he's been able to turn more touches into big plays.

Despite the fact that the Titans are tougher against the run than the NFL average, Achane is one of the best explosive runners in the league. He comes in as an RB2 in this matchup with an upside that can land him in RB1 territory.
