Houston Texans tight end
Dalton Schultz is a solid fill-in or streaming play when he visits the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football if you're searching for a solution at the position this week. Schultz hasn't been an elite option this year, but he has posted very steady numbers, especially in PPR leagues. The eighth-year veteran caught seven of his eight targets for 55 yards in Week 13 against the Colts and has at least six catches in four of his last five games. He is up to 59 catches for 552 yards and one touchdown on the season, and he has been a steady contributor of targets and catches this year, even though his yardage totals have been fairly mediocre. Schultz is the No. 15 TE in RotoBaller's rankings for Week 14, making him a fringe starting option this week against the Chiefs, who have been solid against TE this season.

The Houston Texans D/ST will face a tough matchup in Week 14 as they travel to Kansas City to face
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. They are still a strong starting option, although they aren't in an elite matchup to deliver a big total. Last week, the Texans held the Colts to 16 points but had a quiet day with just one sack and no takeaways. The previous week, they dominated the Bills in primetime, racking up eight sacks and three takeaways in one of their best games of the season. The Texans' elite pass rush has totaled 34 sacks in 12 games this season, while the team has 19 takeaways and a pair of defensive touchdowns. Houston is making a playoff push after winning four straight, and the defense has been leading the way in its recent surge. The Chiefs have been a tough matchup for DST, though, so even though they have been excellent, they're only the No. 7 DST in RotoBaller's rankings this week.

Ka'imi Fairbairn and the Texans have a huge game this week against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Fairbairn made two field goals and two extra points in his team's win over the Colts, which extended his streak to seven straight games with multiple field-goal makes. In his 10 games this season, Fairbairn has converted 27 of his 30 field-goal tries and all 16 of his extra-point attempts. He has gone 5-for-8 from 50 yards or longer, and he brings good upside even though he'll be kicking outside at Arrowhead Stadium this week. This week, he'll be in a good matchup against the Jets, but the weather in New York is expected to be very cold. Patterson has not made any field goals from 50+ yards this season, but has consistently converted shorter attempts. The elements will make it tough to make anything from long distance, but he can reliably deliver shorter kicks. He is the No. 14 kicker in RotoBaller's Week 14 rankings, so he isn't a must-start in most leagues, but he isn't a terrible option either.

The Jets have allowed multiple sacks in four straight weeks, with four turnovers and a defensive touchdown allowed. Rashee Rice caught eight passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns in the 28-31 loss to Dallas on Thanksgiving. Rice has been the focal point of Kansas City's offense since his return from suspension and has been virtually matchup-proof outside of a down game against Denver, where he caught six passes for 38 yards. The Broncos made it a point to slow down Rice, and the same treatment could be coming his way in Week 14 against a tough Houston defense. The Texans have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season. Despite the matchup, Rice should still be given a heavy dose of targets in what could be a must-win game for Kansas City. Rice was also dealing with a hamstring injury this week, but practiced in full Wednesday through Friday, so he has no injury designation for this week's matchup. Rice is ranked WR4 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a must-start option despite facing one of the strongest defenses in the NFL.

Mahomes completed 23 of 34 pass attempts (68%) for 261 yards and four touchdowns in the 28-31 loss to Dallas in Week 13. The Chiefs defense has now given up at least 20 points in four straight games, making it difficult to win no matter how well Mahomes plays. With the team sitting at 6-6 and third in the division, Mahomes and the Chiefs essentially need to win out to secure a spot in the playoffs. That task will be tough to accomplish when they have the stout Houston defense staring them down in Week 14. The Texans defense has allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season, making this the toughest matchup there is. With their season hanging in the balance, Mahomes will have to will them to victory if they want to see the postseason. The Chiefs superstar was also listed on this week's injury report with a knee injury, but practiced all week fully and does not have an injury designation heading into the weekend. Mahomes is ranked QB7 in our RotoBaller rankings, meaning he's still a locked-in QB1 despite facing arguably the best defense in football.

New York Jets placekicker
Nick Folk should continue to be a reliable option in Week 14's home matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Folk has been superb when called upon in 2025, missing all but one of his field goal tries (22-of-23) and connecting on each of his 18 extra-point attempts. Even at the age of 41, the veteran's leg is no worse for wear, drilling six kicks of 50-plus yards, including last weekend's 56-yard game-winner. Unfortunately, New York's (lack of) scoring offense has held him back from being amongst the league leaders in points. Still, he'll get an opportunity to be a viable fantasy asset in Sunday's outing with the visiting Dolphins. The Jets have moved the ball better with quarterback
Tyrod Taylor at the helm, and Miami's defense has softened in recent weeks. If New York can continue trending positively, Folk may see a modest uptick in scoring down the stretch. He'll land as RotoBaller's K19 in this week's ranks.
