Zay Jones 2018 Outlook: If Only He Had A Quarterback
6 years agoThe Buffalo Bills have a major question marks surrounding the quarterback position heading into the 2018 season and those questions are set to cause major disruptions to the fantasy forecast of the team's skill position players. Notably, second-year wide receiver Zay Jones has shown promise thus far in his career, but the instability at the game's most important position is threatening to make Jones's second season a disappointing one. After catching 27 passes for 316 yards and a pair of touchdowns last season with quarterback Tyrod Taylor, Jones will need to rely on one of three players who aren't known for their accuracy as he looks to fix his biggest issue of 2017: a catch rate of just 36.5 percent. If Jones can get the ball in his hands and hold on, he can be a fantasy sleeper this season, but the Bills offense doesn't present enough promise to make spending a draft pick on Jones worth it at this point. With an ADP somewhere between the 80th and 90th wide receiver in most formats, selecting Jones isn't necessarily going to tank your fantasy hopes, but there are players available around him in more pass happy offenses who would be a better use of a roster spot.
