Zach Neto Homers In Three-Hit Day
6 months agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto fell a triple shy of the cycle in Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks, going 3-for-5, including his eighth home run of the season. The 23-year-old also had two RBI and scored twice. After a slow start, Neto is coming off a month of May that saw him slash .284/.337/.477 with a .355 wOBA and 130 wRC+. He also lowered his K% from 30.6% in April to 17.9% in May. So far in June the K% is 18.9%, so he's still making contact despite the low .229 BA during the month, likely a result of an abnormally low .231 BABIP, so this three-hit game could be the beginning of a hot streak.
