Zach Neto 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Angels Star Expected To Shine Bright In 2026
Zach Neto backed up his 2024 breakout with another big season in 2025. The Angels shortstop made it back-to-back 20/20 seasons by recording 26 home runs and 26 stolen bases in just 128 games. That's leading to many believing a 30/30 season could be in play this year. His underlying numbers suggest that is very possible. In 2025, Neto's .495 xSLG (expected slugging percentage) was better than his .474 SLG and ranked in the 89th percentile. Neto also stole 30 bases in 2024 (155 games), so has proven he can reach 30 steals over a full season. Neto missed the start of last season following shoulder surgery in late 2024. Even having to deal with some soreness in season as a result, Neto still put up impressive numbers. And Neto's numbers could have been even better if he wasn't hit on the hand by a pitch in late August. Following the hit by pitch, Neto hit .194/.284/.444 over the next 20 games before he ended the season on the injured list. If it wasn't for the injuries, Neto may have had a 30/30 season in 2025. If he can avoid any significant health issues this year, Neto is set to have the best season of his young career.
