Yimi Garcia Leaves Game With Elbow Soreness
6 months agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Yimi Garcia (elbow) left Sunday's game against the Cleveland Guardians with right elbow soreness, according to manager John Schneider. Garcia was in for a save with the Jays up 7-4, but allowed four hits and two runs before Schneider and a trainer came out to check in on him. Garcia wasn't able to finish the game off and was replaced by Nate Pearson, who picked up his second save of the year. Pearson and Chad Green would be the most likely candidates to garner save chances while Garcia and Jordan Romano are out with injury, but the latter should return sooner rather than later, making the fantasy options fairly unappealing outside of single-week use.
