6/13:Tampa Bay Rays catcher Wilson Ramos provided one of the key plays of the game Tuesday versus the Blue Jays. He would hit a two-run third-inning HR put the Rays up 2-0 and would end up providing the winning run in the 4-1 victory. Ramos now has eight home runs and 32 RBI to go with a fantasy-friendly .284 batting average. The batting average and stats are much more appealing given the standards for catchers to be useful in fantasy. His 2015 season was a success, as he hit 22 HRs with 80 runs batted in and a .307 batting average over 131 games played. He has never been a major source of runs scored, but if he can stay healthy, he has the upside of a starter in most fantasy leagues. If you have the bench space, the smart play is to pair Ramos with a steady catcher.--Jamie Mellor - RotoBaller
