Wilson Ramos Traded to Phillies
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies have acquired catcher Wilson Ramos from the Tampa Bay Rays ahead of Tuesday's deadline, as first reported by Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Feinsand reported the Phillies will send only a player to be named later back to the Rays. Ramos is currently on the disabled list with a left hamstring injury. Ramos' current prognosis is approximately mid-August. He has an OPS of .834 so far this season which the Phillies have not gotten from a catcher since 2012. Ramos is a rental player that still has about two weeks left on the DL which explains the low price for the All-Star catcher.
