Willy Adames Hit Grand Slam Tuesday
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Willy Adames hit a grand slam in the eighth inning against the Tigers on Tuesday. It proved to be too little too late in a rough start from Blake Snell. Adames was 2-for-4 on the day with one run scored and the four RBI. He's been solid lately, hitting .291 with 10 runs, four homers, 11 RBI, and a stolen base. He's also been hitting higher in the order bouncing between the third and seven spots which could increase his value if he holds on a bit higher in the order. The shortstop depth this season is keeping him off of rosters as he heats up. However, if he can add a little more power and speed, he could sneak into owning territory in deeper leagues. Keep an eye out over the next few weeks to see if he keeps this up.
