William Byron Registers Eighth-Place Finish
6 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver William Byron managed an eighth-place finish in Monday's Gander RV 400 at Dover International Speedway. He ended up leading four laps, his first laps led since he ran out in front of the pack for 15 laps at Texas on March 31, where he had his season-best finish of sixth. He'll look to build on the momentum heading into Kansas Speedway on Saturday night. He has just two career Cup starts under his belt at Kansas, and they weren't good. He was 33rd in the spring race last year, and 38th in the fall run at Kansas, so he might be a driver to avoid, even for the biggest of contrarian DFS players.
