Will Warren Continues Strong Run On Wednesday
6 months agoNew York Yankees starting pitching prospect Will Warren was sharp once again on Wednesday evening as he tossed six innings of two-run ball with seven hits, two walks, and six punchouts. Since June 7, Warren has held a solid 2.60 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and a 3:19 BB:K ratio. This is a big step in the right direction for the Southern Louisiana University product as he held a high 15.88 ERA and 2.41 WHIP through May. The 25-year-old spent most of last season with Triple-A and held a 3.61 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 47:110 BB:K ratio compared to the 6.65 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and a 26:72 BB:K ratio he currently sits with. The number seven ranked prospect in the Yankee system on MLB.com could make his major league debut later this summer but will have to continue to produce solid outings across a longer period of time at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre first.
