Wayne Gallman Struggles During Spring Practices
5 years agoNew York Giants running back Wayne Gallman is penciled in as the No. 2 back behind starter Saquon Barkley, but he reportedly struggled during spring practice. Gallman had multiple dropped passes during the practice sessions, and some of the first-team reps (with Barkley sitting out), went to Paul Perkins. The latter, as well as Jonathan Hilliman and Rod Smith, will be challenging Gallman hard for scraps behind Barkley, so Gallman can ill-afford any lack of focus. He'll need to have a strong training camp and preseason to hang onto what he's got.
