The Seattle Kraken selected goaltender Vitek Vanecek from the Washington Capitals in the Expansion Draft on Wednesday night. The 25-year-old is coming off a very respectable rookie campaign in D.C. in 2020-2021 - posting a 21-10-4 record to go along with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage in 36 appearances. Vanecek will likely share the crease with netminder Chris Driedger to start but could eventually become the team's starter if he continues to take strides forward in net. The Czech backstopper should be considered more of a late-round target in upcoming fantasy drafts.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
