Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman sustained an undisclosed injury in Sunday's game against Carolina. He was hurt early in the second period on a hit by Andrei Svechnikov. Hedman returned later for a brief 11-second stint, but didn't feel well enough to play and exited for good. Tampa Bay head coach Jon Cooper said after the game that Hedman will be evaluated Monday when the team gets back home. The Lightning got embarrassed 6-0 on Sunday and now sit on a five-game losing streak, so they can't really afford to play without Hedman. The star rearguard hasn't quite hit the levels he's capable of this season, but it's still been a fine campaign for Hedman, as he has collected 42 points across 60 outings with 144 shots, 74 hits and 109 blocks.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
