Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped all 35 shots he faced en route to defeating the Ottawa Senators on Thursday. The Sabres were heavily out-shot in this contest, but the 25-year-old was able to lead the way. This was his second shutout of the season. This was a much-needed bounce-back performance for the young netminder, as he has allowed at least three goals in each of his previous three starts. During this stretch, he allowed a high of six goals to the Colorado Avalanche. Before that stretch, he allowed two goals or less in the previous three. Overall, Luukkonen sits with a 13-12-4 record and, a 2.95 GAA and a .898 SV%. Luukkonen will look to stay hot Saturday afternoon against the Seattle Kraken.--Andy Smith
