Tyrese Haliburton Rookie Outlook
4 years agoSacramento Kings guard Tyrese Haliburton won't be starting for the Kings when the 2020-21 season tips off, but he should see plenty of playing time at both point and shooting guard behind De'Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield. Factor in how many trade rumors have swirled around Hield and the end result should be a well-defined role throughout the season. Haliburton's defensive impact should be a nice boost for fantasy managers, as he averaged 2.5 steals and 0.7 blocks for Iowa State last season. He also shot over 40 percent from three in both years in Ames, and with De'Aaron Fox at the one, Haliburton should see plenty of time as an off-ball shooter. That role can also help him limit his turnovers, though it would also have the negative impact of limiting assists. He averaged 6.5 assists last season. As a late-round fantasy pick, Haliburton can be a major steal.
