Tyler Reddick Not A Factor At Martinsville And Looks Ahead To Phoenix
1 month agoTyler Reddick finished 34th after struggling throughout the entire duration of Sunday's Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway. Beginning the race from the 31st position, Reddick's car was off from the start as he failed to move up through the field and fell off the lead lap. The No. 45 Driver ended the first stage in the 35th position. Despite some adjustments, Reddick continued his struggles in the second stage and remained in the 35th position by the end of stage two. In the final stage, Reddick collected one position after Corey LaJoie exited the race with oil pressure issues, but nearly 100 laps later, on lap 458, Reddick retired from the race with issues to his brakes and went to the garage, where he was done for the day. This was Reddick's worst finishing position ever at Martinsville since joining 23XI Racing in 2023 and his lowest finish at the site since October 2022, when he was involved in an accident. Reddick will make this a weekend to forget as he is still set to compete for the Cup Series title at Phoenix, where he has three top-10 finishes in the last five Cup events at the site.
