Tyler Locklear Optioned To Triple-A Tacoma
6 months agoThe Seattle Mariners optioned first baseman Tyler Locklear ahead of the team's series opener against the Tampa Bay Rays. With Jorge Polanco (hamstring) returning from the 10-day injured list, Seattle decided to send down its No. 8 prospect. Locklear started just once since June 17, so the first baseman should be getting more consistent reps in Triple-A. The 23-year-old hit just .200 with two home runs, one double, and three RBI across 11 games with the Mariners this season. With his demotion, he can be safely dropped in all formats.
