The Boston Bruins avoided arbitration with forward Danton Heinen, inking him to a two-year contract extension with an annual salary cap hit of $2.8 million. He was one of just two arbitration-eligible Bruins players this offseason. The other, Peter Cehlarik, signed a one-year, two-way deal worth $700,00 earlier in the month. Heinen posted 11 goals with 34 points and a plus-13 rating across 77 games, and he is averaging 40.5 points per season over the past two campaigns.--Daniel Dobish
