Trey Sermon Returns To Practice
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie running back Trey Sermon (ankle) returned to the practice field on Wednesday. Sermon did not suit up for the last preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers last weekend because of the ankle issue, but it's obviously not a serious ailment. As long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks later this week, there's a good chance that he'll see action in the final preseason game on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. The third-rounder has the size, power and explosiveness to be a major factor in the NFL, especially in this offense. Sermon's current ADP (37.3 among running backs) takes into account the fact that he's behind Raheem Mostert on the depth chart, but he's absolutely worth selecting. With RB2 upside, Sermon has the potential to be an excellent value pick in his first season.
