Trey Burton Will Try To Snap Slump Against Giants
6 years agoChicago Bears tight end Trey Burton will try to snap out of his three-game slump when the team takes on the Giants in Week 13. After a stretch in the season where he posted four touchdowns in five games, Burton has only nine catches for 77 yards over his last three played. Burton struggled last week against the Lions, missing assignments and losing a fumble that led to points for Detroit. This week Burton will go up against a Giants defense that is allowing the 16th fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends. But New York has been especially vulnerable over the past month, allowing 10-plus fantasy points to three tight ends over their last three games. The Bears would be wise to attack the Giants linebackers to move the chains and Burton could certainly aid in that area of the field. Nonetheless, Burton will be a touchdown-dependent fantasy option in Week 13 with backup quarterback Chase Daniel once again under center.
