7 months agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story is known for hammering balls deep into the stands, but his home run on Tuesday will go down as one of the lucky ones. Story drove one in the third inning that was deep enough to clear the wall in left, but just barely. Pirates left fielder Bryan Reynolds tracked the ball the whole way, but he had initially turned his body the wrong way. Reynolds made a last second switch to the other direction, leaped, and the ball solidly struck the top part of his glove. Fortunately for Story and Colorado, the awkward angle caused it to bounce out of the top of Reynolds' glove and into the stands. Story's slowed down a bit since his hot start, but he's still on pace for another 30/20 season that will further cement his position as one of the most valuable players in the game.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
