Trevor Story Drills His 30th Home Run
5 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story launched a solo shot at Dodger Stadium on Monday for his 30th long ball of the season. It's Story's second straight year topping 30 homers, and he's coupled it with the highest batting average of his career. Small improvements in his patience and strikeout rate have helped bump his average up just shy of .300, and his more regular presence on the basepaths allowed him to cross the 100-run threshold on Monday as well. Story is a strong competitor for the title of best shortstop in baseball, and he'll finish high in the MVP voting at the end of this season.
