Trevor Cahill Hit Hard Monday
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Trevor Cahill was rocked for five earned runs in only 4 1/3 innings Monday afternoon in Wrigley Field. Cahill came on in the second inning after opener Cam Bedrosian and retired the first six batters he faced. After that things unraveled, eventually leading to a five-run sixth inning where Cahill was charged for four runs after leaving with the based loaded. Cahill isn't an appealing option in fantasy as he has a low 18.3 percent strikeout rate and a 5.01 xFIP. He'll take an ugly 7.18 ERA into a weekend start at home vs the Mariners.
