Tre Tucker Could Be Poised For Big Day
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker should see increased opportunities in the Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns. Raiders No. 1 receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) has been declared out with a hamstring injury, leaving Jakobi Meyers, Brock Bowers, and Tucker as the prime targets for QB Gardner Minshew II. Tucker was targeted nine times in Week 3, catching seven targets for 96 yards and a touchdown. It was Tucker's biggest game of the season. He's been inconsistent so far in his career, but he was a rookie last year, is primarily a deep threat, and works behind Adams and Meyers. Adams is typically a target hog, so there should be more volume for the other pass-catchers. The Browns have played significant single-high safety, man coverage shells, which tend to give up more big downfield pass plays than two-high safety looks, which helps Tucker further. The Browns offense has been horrendous, so the Raiders will likely be able to run a lot of plays since the Browns may not have the opportunity to grind the clock down with consistent chain-moving offense. Tucker is a risky WR3/FLEX play, but it takes just one or two big plays to make him fantasy-relevant. He would be a nice fill-in for brave Adams managers.
