Travis Etienne Jr. Stymied By Strong Titans Rush Defense

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. rushed 14 times for 52 yards, catching an additional three passes for only seven yards against Tennessee. While it was a tough matchup, it's disappointing to see Etienne only muster 7.4 half-PPR points on a day in which the Jags offense scored 34. The Titans are one of the better run-stopping units in the league, so it's not a surprise that Etienne struggled in this one, but that is now five straight games in which he has been unable to eclipse four yards per carry. It's also worth noting that quarterback Trevor Lawrence had two short rushing touchdowns in this game, and if one of those had gone to Etienne it would have been a much different fantasy day. Things should get much easier for the former Clemson standout next week, as he faces the Houston Texans and their soft run defense.
