1 year agoThe St. Louis Cardinals activated infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman (wrist) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and recalled right-hander Zack Thompson from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. Edman returns to St. Louis after missing three weeks with right-wrist inflammation, but he's a candidate to be moved at Tuesday's deadline, so he might not be back in the starting lineup against the visiting Minnesota Twins. The 28-year-old has been an everyday player for St. Louis, when healthy, due to his positional versatility around the diamond. Edman is returning to a .237/.303/.391 slash line with seven homers, 29 RBI, 14 stolen bases and 44 runs scored. Scoop him up if he's available on the waiver wire in your league.
