Tim Hardaway Jr. 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoDallas Mavericks guard/forward Tim Hardaway Jr. had an inconsistent campaign in 2018-19 that he split between the Mavs and the Knicks. Hardaway Jr. was a high-usage player during the first half of the season in New York, scoring 19.1 per game on below 40 percent shooting. He did better in Dallas, shooting 40.4 percent from the floor, but he was still far from an efficient scorer. Hardaway Jr. produced 15.5 points per game in 29.4 minutes as a Maverick. He started 17 of 19 games and he looks set to keep his starting berth for 2019-20, at least for now. Don't expect anything spectacular from Hardaway Jr. in 2019-20, as Kristaps Porzingis is back in the fold and the Latvian is set to play a big part on offense. Hardaway Jr. doesn't generally do much besides scoring, so his fantasy value will be quite limited. He had 3.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists in a Mavs uniform last season. Justin Jackson had a strong finish to last season, so Hardaway Jr. might not even be a guy that gets close to 30 minutes a night, which would be a further blow for his fantasy stock.
