New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall did not play in Friday night's game against the Avalanche, reportedly held out as a healthy scratch as a precaution. As if being held out of the game was not enough to send the hockey world into a frenzy, Peter McNab on the Colorado broadcast pointed out that "Taylor Hall's bag is by itself in the corridor" during the game. Colorado is one of the team's rumored to be interested in trading for the former Hart Trophy winner, which added an extra bit of tension to the news, but ultimately a deal was not announced Friday night. New Jersey plays Arizona next, a team also linked to Hall in rumors, and it seems likely Hall will be held out of that game as well. Fantasy managers will be in a stalemate until the situation is resolved, leaving Hall as nothing more than a bench stash in the short-term.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
