Tanner Scott Appears To Be Marlins Closer

Miami Marlins left-handed pitcher Tanner Scott threw a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his fourth save on Sunday in a 6-4 win over the Washington Nationals. Scott allowed just a hit while striking out one. It appears that the Marlins have settled on the lefty as their go-to guy in the ninth, with Scott getting all three of their save opportunities since the team decided to move David Robertson out of the role. The 29-year-old has a strong 2.37 ERA and 1.07 WHIP to go with 86 strikeouts in 64 ⅔ IP. He should be rostered in all leagues where saves matter.
