Tanner Bibee Makes Return To Mound
10 months agoCleveland Guardians starting pitcher Tanner Bibee struggled in his first appearance in the Cactus League this spring against the San Francisco Giants. The 24-year-old tossed 1 2/3 innings and allowed two runs on three hits to go along with one walk and three punch outs. Bibee had a phenomenal rookie season with a shiny 2.98 ERA to go along with a 10-4 record and 141 strikeouts in 142 innings over 25 starts. Bibee missed the end of the 2023 campaign with a right hip injury, but all indications are that he is healthy heading into the 2024 season. Health will be the most important factor in his sophomore season, but Bibee has ace potential with a cheaper cost than most. He is well worth monitoring this spring with a chance to take another leap forward in year two.
