Tanner Bibee 2026 Player Outlook: Solid Fourth Starter on Fantasy Teams
Tanner Bibee started 31 games in 2025, and most casual observers would suggest that he had a down year for him. Bibee went 12-11 with a 4.24 ERA, a 1.23 WHIP, and 162 strikeouts in a career-high 182 innings. While he won the same number of games as he did in 2024, Bibee had a higher ERA (4.24 compared to 3.47) and fewer strikeouts (162 versus 187) despite throwing 10 more innings. The K% ticked down from 26.3% to 21.3%. Yet Bibe was able to limit hard contact (36.6%) and induce a 45.3% groundball percentage, both career-highs for him. His xERA was a far better 3.64. In NFBC drafts over the last two weeks, Bibee is going around pick 192, which is pushing into fourth starter territory. This seems to be a great spot to pick a pitcher of Bibee's caliber. Expect another 175 innings, with double-digit wins, a 3.75 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP, and 150+ strikeouts.
