Stephen Strasburg Strikes Out Seven In Game 5
5 years agoWashington Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg allowed three runs through six innings pitched as the Nationals rallied to beat the Dodgers 7-3 in extra innings to advance to the NLCS. It was a bumpy start for Strasburg, allowing a two-run home run to the Dodgers Max Muncy in the first inning and then was tagged for a solo shot in the second by Kike Hernandez. But Strasburg settled down from there, allowing only one hit in his final four innings pitched. It was a gutsy performance for a player that once had his toughness questioned in big moments. Strasburg now has 17 strikeouts through 12 postseason innings this season.
