Starling Marte 2024 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Staying Healthy Is Key, A Good Bet To Steal 20-Plus Bases
9 months agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte has been one of the most valuable fantasy assets over the last decade. Since 2014, he has the second most stolen bases. However, the veteran has struggled to stay on the field lately. He played in only 86 games, missing time due to migraines and a groin injury. The 35-year-old's offensive numbers were underwhelming, slashing just .248/.301/.324 with 78 hits and five home runs. Despite poor production at the plate, he still managed to steal 24 bases. His days of elite fantasy production might be behind him. Even so, Marte can still rack up steals when healthy. Currently, his NFBC ADP is around 233. ATC projections have him slashing .261/.321/.391 with 11 HRs and 25 SBs in 113 games, making him a solid value pick for fantasy managers needing speed in the later rounds of their drafts.
