7 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Spencer Dinwiddie was there to pick up the slack for D'Angelo Russell (knee) on Friday, as Russell finally returned to the lineup against the Heat. Dinwiddie scored 16 points on a fine 6-for-12 shooting that included one make from deep. He also helped out on the glass with six boards, but didn't do much else, accounting for just three assists, offset by four turnovers. It is probably going to take Russell at least a few games to get back up to speed and shake off the rust, however, Dinwiddie may be playing well enough to maintain value even with the Nets star point guard back in the mix. The Nets will now travel to Charlotte to take on the Hornets on Saturday.--Matthew Thomas
